Keen-on-football- Week six fantasy picks

Still better than Field Yates, Week 6 Fantasy Football Picks

Must Start QBs

Marcus Mariota, Tennessee: Marcus Mariota was having an awful start to the season entering Week 5; in the first 3 games of the season, he had only thrown for 4 touchdowns and was picked off 4 times. His luck turned around pretty quickly though, as he ended up throwing 3 touchdowns and rushing for one as well against the Miami Dolphins last week in a breakout performance for the second year Quarterback from Oregon. This week, Mariota plays the Cleveland Browns. Each and every week, there is almost always at least one player on my list that is playing the Browns. They are the worst defense in the entire NFL and a terrible football team. Coming off a huge week and playing Cleveland alone makes Mariota a must start this week; not to mention the fact that starting running back Demarco Murray is on fire for the Titans, and the offense has looked very solid recently.

Blake Bortles, Jacksonville: Bortles is a must start this week, coming off a bye week and set to face the Chicago Bears. Bortles may be one of the top scoring players in fantasy this week. I’m expecting him to tear it up Sunday, and think he could very well throw for over 250 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Bears have given up a lot of touchdowns so far this season and I think this Sunday the total will just get higher and Bortles will be a big part of that.

Demarco Murray, Tennessee: This week Demarco Murray plays the Cleveland Browns, coming off a week where he ran for 121 yards and caught a total of 5 passes. He is primed for a huge day Sunday and could very well be the top fantasy player in the league this week. In the past 5 games, Murray has scored at least 20 points (ppr) in each contest and has been absolutely dominating defenses, rushing for 461 yards this season. I’m expecting Murray to run for over 100 yards and score at least this Sunday, making him a very strong play in any league or format this week.

Lamar Miller, Houston: If you were one of the people who spent a high first round draft pick on Lamar Miller, you probably are not too happy with the result of that pick so far. After showing signs of potential untapped star power, some people were even expecting the former Miami Dolphins back to finish as the league’s top fantasy running back. So far in 2016, Miller in standard scoring formats has finished outside of the top 15 running backs in each and every game. Even with the opportunities and touches there for Miller, he has struggled to break off big plays, and he has struggled immensely to find the end zone. Miller entered last week (week 5) with more touches without a touchdown through 4 games than anyone ever in modern NFL history. If that isn’t the most unappealing stat you have heard for a running back in fantasy this season, then I’m shocked. But after all that negativity, there is still a light at the end of the tunnel because I’m here to tell you Lamar Miller is going to absolutely GO OFF this week as he plays the worst defense in the league the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts are ranked as the 31st run defense in the NFL as of right now and have also given up the third most fantasy points to running backs this season. Last week the rookie Chicago Bears back Jordan Howard, torched them for 163 total yards and a touchdown. This comes after T.J. Yeldon of the Jacksonville Jaguars ran for 117 total yards the week before. Sorry, Colts fans, but get ready for another rough week defensively.

Must Start WRs

Allen Robinson, Jacksonville: Coming off last week’s bye, Allen Robinson has been hot of late posting back to back games with at least 5 catches, 50 yards, and a score. Robinson usually finds a way into the end zone, and this week plays the Chicago Bears, who are a favorable matchup to say the least. The Bears have allowed at least 20 points in four of their 5 games this season and have seen their secondary struggle immensely. I’m expecting at least 5 catches and a score, yet again, for Robinson, and he should be started in every league this week.

Marvin Jones, Detroit: Marvin Jones has become a pretty household name this season as the new Lions number one receiver. With already 3 touchdowns this season, I’m expecting another score and a good amount of catches Sunday against the mediocre St. Louis Rams. The Rams have allowed some of the highest passing yard totals out of any team so far this season. I’m expecting Jones to torch the iffy Rams secondary all day.

Must Start TEs

Greg Olsen, Carolina: This week Olsen plays the New Orleans Saints, coming off a huge week even without his star QB. He had 181 yards and a total of 9 catches. Olsen is the number one tight end in all of football right now and continues to dominate every Sunday. The Saints give up a ton of points each and every Sunday, and with the return of Cam Newton this week, Olsen will be the number one scoring Tight End in all of football.

Jimmy Graham, Seattle: In the past two games Jimmy Graham has had 17 targets, a touchdown, and 213 receiving yards. After last week’s bye, Graham gets ready to face the Atlanta Falcons in a very favorable matchup most fantasy owners have been anticipating all week. The Falcons have allowed over 5 touchdowns to Tight Ends already this season and also have allowed the third most points to Tight Ends in the league this season. Now with his chemistry with Star QB at an all-time high, Graham gets ready to continue his recent success Sunday, and I’m expecting yet another huge day for Graham and will not be surprised if he finds the end zone, yet again, this week.

Sneaky Streamer Start

Brian Hoyer, Chicago: Since becoming the starting Quarterback for the Chicago Bears Brian Hoyer has thrown on average 42 passes per game and has been the source of each of Chicago’s six touchdowns. His completion rate is currently ranked 1st in the league at 71.4, and he has been especially good lately. With 300 passing yards and at least two touchdowns in each game played, Hoyer looks to continue his success against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Jaguars pass defense has really struggled lately. With star receiver Alshon Jeffery of the Bears working hard to get more involved in the offense again, this Bears team has a very strong chance of putting a lot of points on the board this week, and I expect Hoyer and Jeffery to be a big part of that.
