After a 3-1 comeback over Shaler High School today, the North Penn Knights baseball team is set to revisit Penn State for the third time in seven seasons (09, 13, 15) for the PIAA state finals.

Holding down the defense in today’s win was senior Colin Healey on the mound, who let up a mere 1 run in 8 innings. Supporting the defense and capping off an offensive check-mate was senior Mike Christy’s 2-run homer in the top of the eighth, giving the Knights a 2 run lead. With Healey’s 1-2-3 bottom of the eighth, the Knights took the win over Shaler and secured their spot in the finals.

The Knights have now won 11 straight PIAA games and are now looking for their 12th.

The PIAA state finals will be held at State College on Friday, June 12th with first pitch at 5:30 PM.
