Dear Knights,

Roses are red,

Violets are blue

Alone on Valentine’s Day?

Just spend it doing something you love,

And you’ll have a great day too!

Although Valentine’s Day is perceived as a day to spend with your significant other, it’s not all about that. It’s all about love – and not just the love between couples, but showing love for friends and family. So how can you stay happy this Valentine’s Day?

  1. Go see a movie with your friends and family. 50 Shades of Grey is coming out on Valentine’s Day, but if you don’t feel comfortable watching that movie with your grandma, then you can see any other movie in the theater (Spongebob, anyone?). And you can always stay home, pop some popcorn, and rent a movie or watch Netflix.
  2. Eat some heart-shaped food! For breakfast, have the Dunkin Donuts heart-shaped donuts with either cookie dough or brownie batter filing. For lunch, cut your PB&J into a heart shape. Then for dinner order the Domino’s heart-shaped pizza as well as the heart shape brownie for dessert! It’s a great way to stay festive for the holiday, but also an excuse to eat some delicious food. Call over friends and family to gather around your heart-shaped feast or just buy some chocolate in a heart-shaped container for yourself. Food shaped in a heart always tastes better!
  3. Go to the Spa! Spend the day on yourself with a relaxing massage. Get your nails done, go shopping, or spend money on yourself. Make Valentine’s Day fun by doing something you love!

Many of us complain about how horrible Valentine’s Day is going to be, but if you do any of the activities above or really anything you love, your Valentine’s Day will be spent right. It’s all about the love, so do something that you love and you’re sure to spend the day happy.

Sincerely,

Siena
