College Review – East Stroudsburg University

College Review - East Stroudsburg University

Are you looking for a fun, exciting state school that you don’t have to plan an overnight visit for? Look no further because East Stroudsburg University is the right college for you.
Established in 1893, ESU has long been a popular alma mater for students all around Pennsylvania. Currently, the state college holds up to 7,000 students, all majoring in diverse studies such as nursing or business. ESU offers a wide variety of different majors and minors that are sure to fit nearly every student’s needs.

The town of Stroudsburg, being only a 90 minute drive away from Lansdale, is quiet yet lively town. College students who enjoy a peaceful environment or a busy lifestyle will enjoy both elements that Stroudsburg provides. On the other hand, inside the University’s halls it is all but quiet. ESU has over 60 buildings on its campus including The Fine and Performing Arts Center, Stroud Hall (a lecture center), Hoeffner Science and Technology Center and many more buildings for each kind of study.

During an open house visit to ESU you also get the chance to view some of the dorms ESU offers. The regular dorms fit either two or three to a room, and have plenty of space for both roommates. If you prefer a more private dorm experience, check the new suites which offer two separate bedrooms for the students. The suites also include a bathroom and small kitchen. Alas, the luxurious suites will add more cost to your tuition. ESU also offers many programs and activities for students to participate in when they are not in class. These include a recreational center, massive library, 7 dining locations, Greek life and numerous clubs and organizations that will peak any future scholar’s interest. ESU was a fun, interesting and close-to-home college visit. Be sure to check out when the next ESU open house days are at www.esu.edu/
