FBLA receives numerous awards at State Leadership Conference

HERSHEY- 53 North Penn FBLA members traveled to Hershey, PA to compete in various business-related events at the State Leadership Conference. The NP FBLA members walked away with numerous awards.

Logan Dubil was elected as one of 9 PA FBLA State Officers for the 2017-2018 school year. His term actually starts now and runs through next year’s SLC. He was elected to the position of Vice President at large.

North Penn also received an award for having the 5th largest membership in the  State.

The following lists the event, the individual student or team of students, and the place they received:

Banking and Financial Systems– Team of Shravan Asthana, Reid Dentner, and Rahul Jogelkar- Placed First in the State

Database Design and and Applications- Tejas Priyadarshi- Placed 2nd in the State

All 4 of these students (above) qualify to compete at the National Conference in Anaheim, CA, this summer.

Accounting 1- Drew Coles- Placed 10th

Partnership with Business – Team of Rick Brophy, Eric Diamond,  and Vicky Rosario- Placed 10th

Coding and Programming- Neelay Velingker- Placed 9th

Electronic Career Portfolio- K. C. Carrelli- Placed 5th

Personal Finance- Nick Chandler- Placed 6th

Business Calculations- Stephanie Zhang- Placed 5th

Public Speaking 2- Charita Kunta- Placed 10th

Hospitality Management- Team of Eric Diamond, Eric Mondelblatt, Jack Johnston- Placed 5th

Graphic Design-  Team of Jolade Adebekun and Charis Ma- Placed 10th

Economics- Chris Yang- Placed 8th

Client Service- Emily Wright- Placed 10th

Noah Golden, a senior at NPHS, also attended the conference with the group.  He was selected as the only student from across the state to serve as an intern for Cybis, the production company that runs the entire conference.

The entire group traveled to Hershey on Sunday, April 2.  They competed in their events, attended various Business/Leadership workshops, and got to see a little bit of the Hershey area and attractions.
