The mother of a North Penn High School senior has not been seen by her family since last Tuesday, November 10th, and the student is pleading for help in locating her. Andrea Lynne Masturzo, 43, currently residing in Southampton, PA with her mother and stepfather was last seen by her family on the evening of November 10th. Nobody from the family, including her son, Tony Masturzo, of North Wales, (an Honors and AP student, and member of National Honor Society) has heard from her since. While she was located by law enforcement in North Carolina in the early morning hours of Friday, November 13th, she was not detained and remains out of contact with her family. Tony has taken to social media over the last days in a plea for help from anybody who may know something.

“She has always been eager to speak to me. If I call her she will call me right back or when she wakes up the next day. Something must be wrong because none of us have heard from her,” explained Tony Masturzo. According to Masturzo, Southampton Police Dept. pinged her phone to Route 40 in Wilson, North Carolina on Thursday, November 12 at 9:17pm.

“My aunt called me at 12:05am, November 13th and told me that the police spoke with my mom, and she said she was fine, but she seemed upset. They had to stop the missing persons report because she is an adult and they cannot hold a 43 year old woman against her will,” Tony Masturzo said. “The report about her is unlike anything I’ve experienced with her, and it’s not sitting well with me at all.”

Kevin Masturzo, Tony’s father, contacted Southampton police today and they verified that law enforcement in North Carolina spoke with Andrea Masturzo. She told the North Carolina officer that she was extremely upset and threatened that she would be calling the police chief to complain about the officer looking for her.

“I don’t think that she’s fine,” Tony said. “Even though she told law enforcement that she’s ok, as her son I know that is not the case.”

Tony, who resides with his father, sister, and brother in North Wales has reached out to local law enforcement and media in an attempt to continue to seek help in locating his mother, but as of now the most effective means of spreading the word has been through social media.

In a tweet posted at 11:00pm on Sunday night, ( @Tony_the_tigar ) Tony wrote : “So my mom has been missing since Tuesday night. I don’t have many followers so please retweet and spread the word.” Since then, this message has 58,300 retweets and 8,710 likes from many countries all over the world.

“She always talked about how she doesn’t trust anybody and she doesn’t have any friends,” Masturzo explained about his mother. “There is no reason for her to be anywhere near North Carolina. She always talked about how much she loved her kids. She would never just pick up and leave. It’s not her. If she left she would at least want us to know she was ok.”

“I know that there is something wrong, but I don’t know how to describe it,” Tony expressed.

As of Tuesday afternoon, November 17th, no new information has surfaced. Tony and his family continue to seek help in locating Andrea Masturzo. She owns a tan Nissan Xterra. She is 5’4, 110 lbs with brown hair and green eyes.

“I just want to find her, and I just want my little 12 year old brother and 10 year old sister to have their mom back,” Tony lamented.
