TOWAMENCIN – If you walked into North Penn High School yesterday and saw a leprechaun in the auditorium lobby showcase, don’t worry – you didn’t have tainted Irish potatoes for breakfast.

Mr. Rob Shea, a teacher at NPHS, who many would argue has the natural red beard of anyone of leprechaun decent, was a good sport and part of a senior awards fundraiser that landed him his role in the showcase. Over the last week, students donated money for senior end of the year awards, and every $100 donated put Shea in the showcase for an hour, dressed as a leprechaun.

Enough money was even donated to reach the “Shea-nanigans” threshold and the day culminated with a leprechaun belly flop into the pool. Throughout the day, for additional donations, passers by could have their picture taken with the green guy as well.
