Occasionally, members of the North Penn Bike Club would occasionally take bike rides together as a form of bonding.

Clubs help make North Penn, a school of 3,000 kids, feel a little bit smaller because they allow students to come together over a common interest.

In 1976, North Penn had a North Penn Bike Club. The club held weekly meetings where members were taught how to care for their bikes. Along with learning proper care, members also learned the proper maintenance of bikes and how to handle situations of the bike possibly breaking.

The most important part of this club was the short bicycle trips with all of the members. Occasionally, the members were visited by guest speakers who had either an interest in bikes on a professional or hobby level.

This club gave opportunities for riders to get exercise, while at the same time make new friends and experience new things.
